Key items for this Autumn/Winter 2013

A lot of interesting trends have appeared on A/W13 catwalks! From Masculine to florals, next season ought to be interesting.

Pinks
Pinks seem to be making a return for next season. From Topshop to DKNY, Pinks have been spotted on the catwalk left right and center!

(Topshop Unique)
(House of Holland)
(Carven)

I think we're safe to say we'll see a range of pinks in stores in Autumn!

One of my favorites was from DKNY, i love this hot pink two piece.

Which, funnily enough, joins in with my next trend.

Masculine.
Masculine clothing is a hot trend for autumn. Now, in my opinion, i'm not so keen on masculine clothing because it honestly doesn't suit me, yet i think it can look amazing on some people.

However, i do love blazers and it appears like we'll be seeing a lot of them. It also looks like straight legged work trousers will be popular.

(Diesel)
(Antonio Berardi)
(Haider Ackermann)

Tartan
I don't particularly like tartan, so when i heard it was making a return, i wasn't too happy.
I think Tartan is very hard to pull off and you have to be careful when styling tartan. Tartan can look good in matching pieces, but can sometimes look over the top.

Some tartan pieces from the catwalk don't actually look too bad, but im still dubious.

(Mulberry)
(Versace)
(Christian Dior)

Winter Florals
I love love love florals any season! I am adoring these winter florals, i love the contrasting dark colours with the brights from the flowers or floral pattern.

(Dolce and Gabbana)
(Dolce and Gabbana)
(Erdem)

I will defiantly be picking up a winter floral piece, and i've already seen this one in New look i think is super on trend and would be cute for Autumn/Winter.

What do you think about A/W13 new trends?

Nelly Polish

This is a long overdue blogpost! I've had these pictures for a while, I just haven't had time to write this post.

Today I'm reviewing some Nelly Polishes I got sent by the lovely Hilary.

Hilary makes these polishes dehydrated! These are the worlds first ever dehydrated nail polishes.
This is how you get them:
And you just add any brand of 10ml topcoat to the bottle and shake away for a minute! Simple and easy and this creates a jelly like polish.

First up is Polperro

Polperro is a gorgeous jelly like polish with small gold glitters with some larger gold glitter. It dries matte because of the formula, but looks shiny with a topcoat.

I really love Polperro and is my favourite of the two. I used three coats in my nail swatch but on the nail wheel you can see alternate options.

Next up is Beeny!

Beeny is a very sheer, jelly like polish. It's a sheer light blue base with orangey-red small and medium glitter.

I really like Beeny but I prefer it over blue like shown on the wheel, whereas my swatches were with 3 coats.

If you like the looks of these please check out Hilary's etsy www.etsy.com/shop/nellypolish
She has a range of different colours so browse around! Because they are dehydrated they can be shipped anywhere which is great!

Cartoon Roses nail art

So today i did these really cute rose nails inspired by some nails i saw on tumblr. I'm thinking they look like cartoonified roses?
I got a lot of different poses for this manicure, i couldn't decide on just one, which is pretty typical of me.

I really love this mani idea, and i may use it in the future. It's something quite bold, so it could be used as an accent nail which i think would look really good.

I didn't actually use the polish i photographed with, just to let you know. Below are the colours i used.

Colours used:

 Essie We're in it together
 Barry M Blue Moon
 Barry M Black
 Collection 2000 Top coat

Yellow with Rose accent Nails

Today i did this really cute and simple summer mani!
But what i reall love about using light colours like white is that they make my hands look very tanned! Trust me, i'm not that tanned as they appear below.

The yellow is Sinful colours unicorn and i used 3 coats as it was quite streaky.
It's a very pretty pastel yellow and it so suitable for summer and for rose nail art!

I'm very happy with this design as it's super pretty but simple at the same time :)

Below i've done a detailed pictutorial to show you how to do the Rose accent nail:

Pink ombre nails with B&W glitter

Today i did this really cute quick simple nail art. I was inspired by a few nail art pictures i've seen around the internet similar to this design.

This is the glitter polish i used, L'oreal 916 Confetti.
The bottle is really small, which is a shame, and it was £4.99 in Boots. It's quite expensive for only 5ml but i won't complain because i have been searching for a black and white glitter polish for so long!

Overall i really like the design and concept and i think it worked really well! The colours of the pink blend nicely as they don't contrast that much. I also like how the black and white works well with the pink.

The light pink polish i used is Essie 'Were all in it together'
The darker pink polish is Sinful Colors.

Let me know on instagram or in the comments below if i inspired you.
